xbmc ati remote wonder

Post by evlo »

Hello,

my problem with xbmc and ati remote wonder is in mapping up, down, left, right and enter in xbmc to have two functions, mostly up, down, left, right - which should do forward and backward jumps and move in menu too, i tried using keyboard emulation to achieve it, but it don't work. When i assign it to both function in xbmc plugin it obviously do both functionality at same time when playing movie and that is not welcome.

I will post screenshot and configuration letter when i can get back to the computer when i want to run this setup.

Try my XBMCRepeat plugin, I think it will work like you want.

I have switch to xbmcrepeat, but it still did not worked as i wanted it ofr backspace so i tried keyboard emulation again and now after restart and now it works for backspace (and other keys too).

I don't know if i used xbmcrepeat correctly, because i stil needed to add macro repeat where i wanted keys to repeat.

XBMCRepeat\Buttons\Remote\Back should work the same as Backspace, or I don't now what you mean.

Well you should start to assign your remote buttons in the XBMCRepeat\Buttons\Remote folder as those are optimized to work with a remote (uses settings in remote.xml within XBMC and functions depend on where in the interface you are), and then if you need any more functions assign them in the XBMCRepeat\Actions folder.

When playing movie back does not anything, backspace brings me to movie library.

I used XBMCRepeat\Buttons\Remote, but i still needed to add keypress repeat to macro, no big deal.

While playing a movie XBMCRepeat\Buttons\Remote\Display switches to the playlist.

Oops, I forgot the repeat part  , you need to add it yes. Repeating don't work with my remote(with the EventGhost plugin I'm using), I'll see if I should/can put it in by default for some buttons.

That is probably true, but i wanted same functionality what backspace on keyboard does - "display" when playing movie, in other cases "back".
