I just installed eventghost to try to override some buttons of my mce remote in xbmc.
When installing xbmc plugin I was asked to disable hid and I said ok.
Now after reboot my remote control isn't working anymore on my computer...
How to re enable hid in windows ?
I tried to uninstall eventghots but I still have the problem...

Howto Reenable hid in Windows 7 64b
Re: Howto Reenable hid in Windows 7 64b
You needed to save the plugin configuration with that enable hid checkbox unchecked. This will restore the original settings. And you probably need to reboot afterwards.

There isn't a real easy way, but it isn't too late.
The issue is you have to set some registry keys back to their original values.
Method #1: You can install EG again to open the plugin configuration, then let it restore the keys, then uninstall EG again.
Method #2: You can restore the registry keys with regedit. More info here. If that post doesn't make sense to you, I'd go with Method #1....
Sorry, but those are your best bets. Good luck,
Brett
