I just upgraded from Win7 to Win8 and dont get my Remote (Harmony with HP MCE IR Receiver) to work.
On windows 7, i used AlternateWinMCEservice, but Eventghost did not receive any IR command from it anymore.
The IR Sensor is working, because the standard commands (right, left, ok etc) are working by windows 8. but nothing get catched in Eventghost.
hope there is a way.

My HP MCE remote transceiver is working just fine under Windows 8. I'm using the Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista/Win7 plug-in. After installing the plug-in the first time, I usually have to uninstall and reinstall the AlternateMCEIRService via the plug-in's configuration page.
