Hello, I have a Generic PCRemote w/ Tigerfly.net usb ir reciver, so far I have gotten EventGhost to map the power button (strangely no other program could interact with the power button) to standby monitors and lock workstation, and a few other keys such as volume, OSD.
so my question is under windows 7
1. windows provides a service called "Human Interface Device Access" and this automatically maps most of the remote functions like Volume control (+2% , -2%), the Media keys (MEDIA_PLAY_PAUSE, MEDIA_STOP..etc), now this is where it gets tricky when I map the volume keys in eventghost now both programs are controlling the volume 2% for system and 5% in event ghost, the osd isn't smooth with it like this, if I stop the "Human Interface Device Access" service then I loose my media keys function like fast forward , play, pause, next, prev, ff, rw (I like these keys since they work in nearly all media players, I haven't found a setting in eventghost to simulate the service behavior or I would just leave it disabled.)
2. I'm using the Generic HID driver since in my opinion it works best for my needs, since I need it to work when I lock the PC (mouse and keys function) , I didn't have any remote response when using the "PC Remote" driver while the PC was in Lock mode, unless I'm doing something wrong.
3. I'm pretty sure this isn't possible yet but It would be nice to show the OSD across all or select monitors (in my case 3)
