Help needed with MCE plugin using Windows 8.1

Post by burchis »

I have successfully been using MCE plugin under windows 7 for years. Recently purchased a laptop with windows 8.1 and installed EG to make a portable HTPC for my camper. I have loaded the latest version of MCE plugin v1.1.1 and it sees all of the remote commands. My problem is how to I disable the native MCE HID service so I don't get duplicate commands when running programs like VLC?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Should just have to reboot. Make sure the service is installed, and reboot the laptop.
