Run EventGhost as Windows Service

Post by aliantonio »

Hi. So as the title suggests, I have been looking for a way to run EventGhost as a Windows Service on Windows 8.1 so that EG runs as soon as the computer boots. Currently, EG only runs once I am logged in. I've tried creating a windows task using the built-in windows commands and have tried using NSSM to create the service. Neither have worked so far. Has anyone got this working, more specifically on Win 8.1? Thanks in advance!

I have EventGhost start on login through a scheduled task in windows as admin.

1. Set your computer to login by default as you.
2. Create a task in the Windows scheduler on startup to launch eventghost, I point to a .bat file.
3. Have a Eventghost task on startup to lock your computer.
