Webserver: Problems setting up

Post by litfoo »

Hi there,

am having some issues with getting the webserver plugin to work.

Am getting this error

on this config.

I do not believe there is anything else running on this port 80 on this PC that could be interfering/conflicting - (but would be good if someone could inform me how to check this on a windows pc)

not sure what I may be doing wrong so am reaching out to see if anyone can give me any pointers as to how to get this Webserver plugin working

many thanks,

litfoo

Try to change port - use 8080 or something. The error says it got some access problems with sockets. I can't help you out much here, sorry.

Thanks for your answer.

I will try to assign to a different port.

On my router HTTP is set for port 80 currently

If i changed port in EG to say 8080 - that means i need to also set up port 8080 for HTTP on my router?

and if so, could i just set up say 8118?

To be honest with you, I have very little experience with ports, so you probably should not listen to me.

Anyway, what I did was using port 8080, and I did nothing more. I did not "open" any ports on my computer for it to work, it just did. So if you dont have anything else running on that port it should work.
