I have tried but failed to simply use a Tivo remote to operate my windows media center on Vista.
I have a windows eHome (trans)receiver
i am trying to see a signal from the remote when i use eventGhost. I do not see any signal.
Once I get the signal I should be able to do the mapping (i hope) from there.
Do i need a specific plug in?
What are the basic steps to make it work?
Once it is set Can i use any remote that I would map to make it work?
Thank You in advance for your help

SHort answer: The MCE reciever plugin as it stands at the moment in EG can not decode a lot of other NON MCE remotes. SO your tivo is obviously one of these undetectable ones.
Hopefully in future EG revisions, we will get this facility as it will be super useful.
