If I have backed up my EventGhost data (Username\Application Data\EventGhost), and wish to restore it at a future time, should I overwrite all files and folders? Or just "MyConfig.xml"?
Also, if the data is being restored to a newer version of EventGhost, should I do anything differently? One of the issues I'm concerned about is if the config file structure changes in a future version, or additional support is added for other features. Under those circumstances, it's usually a bad idea to overwrite newer config files with older ones, which is why I'm asking.
Would I be better off just importing specific folders and/or macros instead of replacing the files themselves?

Questions on backing up and upgrading
Re: Questions on backing up and upgrading
All you need to keep is your config.xml it shouldn't cause issues going from version to version as the config doesn't actually contain the plugins just actions and event names and your folder structure. If you have a bunch of python script it could i guess cause issue but still it'll be that one script and the logger will prbably let you know about it.
