Ok, so I went to take the screen shots that you mentioned, and it started logging the events this time without the "Log Raw Events" being checked, but along with that sent some errors also. It seems to work ok, but I don't think it should have the errors.
One note: I am accessing my HTPC through a remote desktop as it is a modified laptop made to look like a piece of A/V equipment, so it has no keyboard and mouse; hence why I am setting up the remote only.
The computer I am using to access it is running the Linux flavor, OpenSuse 13.1. It is my main administrative computer as it accesses all of the others in the house.

Looks like some of the events are not handled properly, could you copy some of the errors from the log so I can see the complete error text?

This is the error that seems to pop up.
Code: Select all
Raw event: '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Playlist.OnClear","params":{"data":{"playlistid":1},"sender":"xbmc"}}{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Playlist.OnAdd","params":{"data":{"item":{"id":5,"type":"movie"},"playlistid":1,"position":0},"sender":"xbmc"}}{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Player.OnPlay","params":{"data":{"item":{"id":5,"type":"movie"},"player":{"playerid":1,"speed":1}},"sender":"xbmc"}}{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Application.OnVolumeChanged","params":{"data":{"muted":true,"volume":100},"sender":"xbmc"}}{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Player.OnStop","params":{"data":{"end":false,"item":{"id":5,"type":"movie"}},"sender":"xbmc"}}'
It only happens when the "log raw events" is checked

Thanks. The events don't seem problematic, weird. I'll look into it more later.

Hi,
When i run json-rpc gui.activatewindow with "{"window":"subtitlesearch"}" it opens the subtitle window correctly but EG freeze untill the window is closed again...
So this means if i open the window with my remote it wont let me choose a subtitle with the remote. i can with keyboard go up and down and select the right subtitle.
Does anyone know a good way to fix this or is there another way to bring up the subtitlesearch window?

hello ,i am using latest eventghost and Kodi.If i run kodi first and eventghost(with xbmc2 plugin) second, everything works just fine ,if i close Kodi and then reopen, eventghost can not listen to Kodi 's actions. To fix that i have to keep kodi on and restart Eventghost.I need eventghost start with windows and be always on.
Is this normal?Am i doing something wrong?

Do you have any of the
Settings->Services->UPnP options enabled? If not you need at least "Allow control of Kodi via UPnP" enabled as the XBMC2 plugin uses UPnP to detect when XBMC/Kodi starts even over the network.

I think you need to ask about this at the Kodi/XBMC forum. As some communications get blocked when some windows/dialogs are shown.

Sorry builderjer, looks like I forgot to look into your errors.
I'll try to look into it soon.

I'm getting a weird result when I send the "Select" action to XBMC/Kodi while in fullscreen viewing mode for TV shows, Movies or Music visiualizer and trying to bring up XBMC's OSD. This action is under the remote folder and is tied to the select button on my remote (tivo slide pro using the tivo slide pro plugin). This action should essentially mimic the enter key on our keyboards. When I'm playing a video (Movie or TV show) the OSD pops up as exepected when I send this action to XBMC, however this is not the case when I have music playing and the music visualizer in fullscreen. When I send this command to XBMC it brings up the preset visualizer screen instead of the OSD with playback controls. Is this an issue with the plugin or an issue with the JSON interface on XBMC's side?
Would love to get this fixed so I can have consistent control.

It's been a while since I've looked at my config but since the XBMC move to Kodi my config no longer works.
To be sure, the plugin will still work Kodi? Likely something else in my config that is throwing things off?

So I installed Kodi (I only had an older beta installed) and the normal actions/buttons seem to work. But there seems to be a problem with other stuff, I'll have to look into it more later.

Looks like that is how Kodi is configured, if you want to change how the buttons work you need to edit Kodis
keymap(s).

Looks like something works differently in Kodi I have to look into it, and hopefully it's a simple change.
Sorry for the late reply, don't have much energy to put on this plugin (or development in general).
