Hello,
This one works fine. Great work!
I have'nt done any "stress testing" yet, just normal operation which looks good.

OK, good
To make the device to identify itself what type it is (RFXmeter or RFXpower), I have understood you need to initialize it.
Maybe is not needed, I made so that it defaults to RFXmeter since RFXpower is an older device type.

Hi,
My RFXTRX433 is firmware 46 and hardware 1.0
The last version of eventghost plugins is installed (RFXtrx_16.07.2012.zip)
I got a problem, some event only work once :
I push 5 times on a button of my DI.O remote control, only the first item generate an event :
Code: Select all
Debug Info: 0b1100010075581a03010f70
RFXtrx.Type: AC address: 0075581a unit: 03 command: on ' level: 0 signal: 7'
Debug Info: 0b1100050075581a03010f70
Debug Info: 0b1100060075581a03010f70
Debug Info: 0b1100070075581a03010f70
Debug Info: 0b1100080075581a03010f70
I can see the same probleme with OREGON temperature sensors, but it works time to time.
All these event are decoded by rfxmgr.
Can you help me ?

Well, this is normal, I think the default is to suppress duplicated events but if you really want them, you may check the setting "Allow duplicated events". Also, you can uncheck the "Show debug info" if you log too many details.

Hi
I got a bad interpretation of an X10 signal with the plugins
The emitter is a X10 remote controller KR21E
Here is the code in RFXMGR :
Disarm and Arm
Code: Select all
------------------------------------------------
08200200818E790D79
Packettype = Security1
subtype = X10 security remote
Sequence nbr = 0
id1-3 = 818E79
status = Disarm
battery level = OK
Signal level = 7
------------------------------------------------
08200201818E790969
Packettype = Security1
subtype = X10 security remote
Sequence nbr = 1
id1-3 = 818E79
status = Arm Away
battery level = OK
Signal level = 6
In Eventghost plugins, disarms isn't detected but arm is well identified :
Code: Select all
Debug Info: 08200201818e790d79
Decoding of message failed: ['08', '20', '02', '01', '81', '8e', '79', '0d', '79']
Debug Info: 08200202818e790969
RFXtrx.Type: X10 security remote id: 81 8e 79 status: arm away ' battery: 9 signal: 6'
Can you fix this ?
Thanks !
Xavier

New version uploaded should solve this, I had a bug in the decoding part (also affecting some other protocols)

Walter and Bert.
I have an 2 year old RFXmitter, in the 2 port lan receiver. I ocnce bought this for use with Homeseer, but i gave up on that idea. And the rfxmitter+rfxMeter/Rfxpulse have been collecting dust.
Today EventGhost caught my attention, and I se that theres a new product on the market (rfxtrx)
Will my older RFXMitter be compatible with this plugin? Or does a plugin for the rfxmitter exist?

A user with the RFXMeter and the RFXtrx, has written some very nice python scripts to calculate real time power consumption figures and then sending them to the SwitchKing application for data capturing and graphic presentations.
There are also scripts written there that takes temperature and humidity data from various sensors and forwards them in the similar way.
The text is written in Swedish but I think you get the idea and I believe people are willing to help you with your questions. Scripts are in english.

More info about the Switch King application is found here.

@Gjelsvik,
Your RFXmitter is not compatible with this plugin.
However, I wrote another plugin for that earlier but you have to use xPL in addition to it. It's no magic and not so complicated to get it working but it requires some more sw to be installed in your system.
You can find description and instructions here:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2077
I have the same hw myself (but the usb versions) in operation with EventGhost since several years in my home system using this plugin with xPL and it is working excellent.
Best regards, Walter

Thanks Walter
(Sorry for the double post, I didnt read that admins had to manually approve each post, so when i didnt see my post i wrote it again)
I will look into the xPL.
Reason for asking that i now have moved away from Homeseer. Im using switchking together with a telldus USB device. The Telldus does not support the rfx-meter, so im going to keep the rfxmitter for the power-readings.
So, the path im going is like this then? Rfx-meter->Rfxmitter->xPL->EventGhost->Swithcking. (Shorter path in homeseer

)
EdiT:
Ok, so now i have all the XPL stuff installed (xlp-hal, xpl-hub. xlp-rfx)
The xplrfx plugin asks for IP and TCP-port for my rfx-lan. The IP is known, but what port should i use? This is asked both for receive and transmit.
Also, i see that newer firmware support xPL native from the rfxlan. Is it possible for me to reflash this firmware?
