I have (finally) added all the missing built-In Functions, that I basically forgot to finish as I started to work on JSON-RPC support and my development became less efficient.![]()
![]()
So there is a new action XBMC
2->Experimental->BuiltInFunctions It gets the syntax from Kodis wiki unfortunately not all functions parameters are documented.
Edit: I did a fast update to add support for using Python code in the parameter field using "{ python code }",
Like always please backup your config and old plugin if you are going to test/use this. Any feedback is appreciated.

i have installed this uppdate, but all i get in the field is the word help, not wake on lan.
i found that there┬┤s a wake on lan addon for kodi, can it be used to "wake" xbmc2 on eventgost, so it can notice a kodi startup?
what could be wrong?
Thanks, and I'll try.nonob wrote:Welcome back and good luck for the developpement. I hope you will be fine.

Finally see the problem with the BuiltinFunctions, the website (Kodi.tv) has changed something again and I need to fix. Hopefully within the week.tjabas wrote:i have installed this update, but all i get in the field is the word help, not wake on lan.
There is some bug in my code that only happens sometime and it makes it hard to find.tjabas wrote:i also have the same issue, is it possible to get xbmc2 to auto connect when kodi turns on?
Sorry I don't think so.i found that there┬┤s a wake on lan addon for kodi, can it be used to "wake" xbmc2 on eventgost, so it can notice a kodi startup?
first of all, thank you for a freat job.jonib wrote:There is some bug in my code that only happens sometime and it makes it hard to find.tjabas wrote:i also have the same issue, is it possible to get xbmc2 to auto connect when kodi turns on?
I'll try to redo the detection code (ssdp) as I need it for another project also, I don't know how long it might take.
You shoulden't need to restart EventGhost to get notifications working again just disable the enable the XBMC2 plugin (in autostart), you can create a macro that does this so you can use it with a remote or something.

freat job?tjabas wrote:first of all, thank you for a freat job.
Try the attached version, activate "debug" in the settings and post the EventGhost log when you start Kodi and it's not detected. Also PM me the "...\AppData\Roaming\EventGhost\plugins\XBMC2\ssdp.log" log file (Check the file so it doesn't contain anything private)the connection problem is every time for me, not just sometimes, it just wont reconnect, but after a restart of eventghost while kodi is on fix the problem.
but ofcouse it would be nice if it would autoconnect.
i have done surgery to my eyes a couple of days ago, so my vision isnt great , i mean great jobjonib wrote:freat job?tjabas wrote:first of all, thank you for a freat job.

As it happens every time should give me more insight, as I have only seen it a couple of times and I of course didn't have logging on at the time, and when I activate logging it works fine.

I forgot to ask do you have any of the UPnP settings active in Kodi?i will install the file you attached and try to log it.

I tried version XBMC 11 (the oldest I have installed) and it works great, but then I started Kodi 15.2 and it wasn't detected.tjabas wrote: i have also tried dieferent kodi versions, but with no luck, is there any specific version that works good with your plugin?
i have searched for xbmc 11 for android, but unfortunately the oldest android version is xbmc12, and sadly that one didnt work.jonib wrote:I tried version XBMC 11 (the oldest I have installed) and it works great, but then I started Kodi 15.2 and it wasn't detected.tjabas wrote: i have also tried dieferent kodi versions, but with no luck, is there any specific version that works good with your plugin? But when I restarted EventGhost the Kodi 15.2 worked fine again. So there is definitely something weird going on.
I have started to redo the detection code hopefully I can make it more robust.

So you are using Kodi on Android, that is probably why it doesn't work. The SSDP.log will hopefully tell me whats different.tjabas wrote:i have searched for xbmc 11 for android, but unfortunately the oldest android version is xbmc12, and sadly that one didnt work.
