Hi,

I'm new to EventGhost and need some help.

I'm trying to get working EventGhost 0.3.7.r1262 with DVBViewer via DVBViewer plugin. OS: XP 32bit, SP 2.

I'm trying it with DVBViewer GE 2.8.0.0 and DVBViewer Pro 4.2.1.0.

DVBViewer GE 2.8.0.0:
- DVBViewer plugin set to SendMessage-API
- DVBViewer GE running
- when I try to execute any macro (ie Fullscreen) I get: Application is not running!

DVBViewer Pro 4.2.1.0:
- DVBViewer plugin set to COM-API
- DVBViewer Pro running
- when I try to execute any macro (ie Fullscreen) I get: DVBViewer.DVBViewerCouldNotBeConnected

Thanks,
Cichmen

Solved issue with DVBViewer GE (SendMessage-API) by adding this line into the plugin code:

Code: Select all

gWindowMatcher = eg.WindowMatcher( u'dvbviewer.exe',
                                    winName=u'DVB Viewer{*}' )
Any Idea with the COM-API issue? This part of the plugin code is too complicated for me to debug.

Further update: COM-API is working on another computer with Win7 64bit.

Hi
I have a problem with this plugin when I start recording, I get this error:
Exception in thread Thread-482:

Then the program does not respond to commands from the remote control.
Is it possible to fix it? .
Greeting for author this great program and plugin :)

It seems to be, that a output of a dvbviewer function is depending on the system time format.

I think your system is using following time format "YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss", is it correct?

That differs to the formats, which I'm using.

I will think about a better solution, but it will need some days.

I have found a format independent solution. Could you try the attachment and give me a respond? The attachment contains the file "__init__.py", which must be copied to following path:

EventGhost installation folder/plugins/DVBViewer

Hi, i have a problem with the new DVBViewer plugin. I use DVBViewer Pro 4.0.0.0, and it seems to be not recognized. The Eventghost arrow become yellow for about 1 min, and return an error (see image attached).
The previous version of the plugin was working fine.
I am running on Windows XP SP3 with EG 0.3.7.r1462.
Thanks.

Which version have you used before?

I think it could be a language problem. Which langugage have you selected in the dvbviewer setup?

I used the EventGhost 0.3.7.r1436 version before, in French. DVBViewer was in French too, and it worked.
I just tried to set DVBViewer in English, but i got the same error. I thought it was because of it was show in the system tray only, but no.
Thanks for your answer.

There is no difference in the plugin between 0.3.7.r1436 and 0.3.7.r1462.

Could you switch on the log of the time and post the result log again?

This is a very very old version.

Could yo activate the debug mode of the EG using the switch "-d".

The log will be in the same directory where the configuration XML file is located. Could you put it together with the XML configuration file as a attachment?
