Thank you, that looks like it's exactly what I need. Just EG without the plugin. It can still detect remote events so I can add the TV power functions in without interfering with the normal operation. I'll try this in a few days when there is a gap in the HTPC's recording schedule where I can work on it without interfering with anyone's shows getting recorded.

It will be. I had to uninstall both EG and the default WMC remote drivers, then reinstall the latter when I couldn't get it working initially. I'll create a restore point, then uninstall Intelliremote and give this a shot.
