unless the event format has changed we don't want to go breaking peoples macros. But if you leave the GUID the ame then you also have to keep the directory the same as well as all of the class names

Like I stated before, the only change to the event was in adding a payload. So in that sense my changes should all be backward compatible.

I've already gone ahead and made it a new plugin, with a new GUID and class name and event prefix, after kgschlosser's comments. So the point is moot. That said, if you folks like the additions, you can trivially backport them into EventGhost core if you like. That's the beauty of FOSS. (:

hey whatever ya'll decide to do.. i'm just the resident village idiot :shock: :P. It really does not matter. it's all a matter of what you as the plugin developer want to do. You can override the existing plugin. or make a new one.. or you can even hold hands with it and tell it what to do and not to do.
