Are there any instructions on setting event ghost with a cm15/19?

I have found about three threads and they all date back to 2007 to 2009. None of them really explains how to make eg see and monitor the x10 unit clearly.

please try to be nice, this is my first post but I've been searching google all day

The plugin from the topic below will work for the cm15a and cm19a.

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=667&start=15#p8529

However it works better for sending signals than receiving them as when receiving signals, it receives the first one or two fine, then it seems to lock up after that. I believe this can be fixed with something in the plugin code, but I'm not familiar with python at all so can't fix it, even though I'd love to see it fixed.

However for sending both RF and powerline signals it works great.

do a search for some of my recent posts. I got my motion sensors working using some code from Walter and I uploaded the modification that works for all house codes.
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system

Yup I saw that previously, however with that plugin you can only receive signals, so it doesn't help me because I need to be able to send and receive signals. It may help the other users though if receiving is all he requires. I wish it was possible to take the receive code from your updated plugin and add it to the cm15a plugin, and leave the cm15a send signal code the same. Not sure if its even possible though.

What line of code do I need to edit or add to ignore a certain device code? The motion sensor is hanging the entire x10 interface whenI have eg open because it trips any time I move inside the house.

I have no experience with python, so I might need a little walk-through.

The modified plugin by Krambriw cannot be usable by drag and drop to macro because Home and unit codes are in Payload section in event, so when my CM19A receive a code as X10.On 'A4' only X10.On is seen.

So I replaced in the code:

Code: Select all

        if eKeyState == 1:
            plugin.TriggerEnduringEvent(
                plugin.mappingTable.get(event, event),
                payload=house_unit
            )
by this one:

Code: Select all

        if eKeyState == 1:
            plugin.TriggerEnduringEvent("%s.%s" % (plugin.mappingTable.get(event, event), house_unit))
Now it is possible to use Event discriminated by House and Unit codes in your actions:
ex: Event previously displayed as X10.On 'A4' (recognized as only X10.On) become X10.On.A4 !!!

So the 256 codes A-P and 1-16 can be used.
I tested with CM19A all works fine, same for All Light On/Off and All Unit On/Off codes.

I am not a great specialist, now I am trying to send X10 codes with my CM19A without use an external program as ahcmd.exe.

If someone have an idea ? May be our existing pluging have this functionality but I don't know the syntax.

Out of curiosity is the motion sensor talking directly to my computer? Or is it talking to the transmitter that is then talking to my computer. I am trying to figure out a way to boost the signal of my motion sensor. It seems like its too far away, i've already built an antena for my CM19 but that works fine with my transmitter so im not sure why my motion sensor isn't being consistently picked up. Any thoughts i really appreciate it.
