hey Pako,

would love it if you would add a sub category for the plugins for lighting control systems, I have seen a couple of plugins for them and i think it's a small worth while addition

ok CPU tests are in, 100 ms = 5% cpu on an 8 core 3.8 ghz

2 seconds = .5 on the same

.5 seconds is at about 2%

Installed your latest and it seems to be working much better.

Shutdown performs as expected and it no longer seems to be a resource hog or throwing a million events!

kgschlosser, I really thank you for your work on this plugin. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble updating to your most recent posted version.

1) Since you've really created a new version of this plugin, it would be better if you created a new topic for it so that you can provide instructions and update the current version in the first post.

2) Is the Lua code in Vera no longer needed?

3a) If I place the Feb 6 version 1.9b in its own plugin folder, I can't find it in the Add Plugin dialog.
3b) If I replace this version,

are you deleting the .pyc file?


You should be and just leaving the .py

i am also going to maybe change the guid, don't know, others are running without a problem, lemme set up a new VM and a fresh install of EG and see what i get, give me 15 minutes to do this for ya

also, this version is a spawn of what m19 started and this is what it has blossomed into, there is no real need to create yet another thread for the same kind of plugin because this is a modification of what has already been made.

ok sorry about the time quote, i just had to copy a VM to get this thing going the same way, it's working fine for me.
not 1 error

NOTE this is NOT backwards compatible with any other version of the vera plugin, i should have stated that.


best results are to remove and reinstall the new plugin, it is going to show as the same name.

unless i should change it.

removal is a complete deletion of the py file and the pyc file in the plugins folder and the addition into the same folder if wanted as the __init__.py

you have to delete the plugin from the EG tree, i am terribly sorry for this, i know if you have it laced in it will require some time to find all the actions and remove them.


it was necessary to make this work 1 million percent better.

then close EG and restart it,

then add the plugin again, you will see a whole new world of what is available now and won't be so mad at me ;-D

remember this is a complete self contained plugin.


NO NEED TO ADD THE STARTUP LUA CODE.

REMOVE IT, NO LONGER NEEDED.

that is the major modification, no more 5 second eg event delay, down to about 150 ms
