Uncheck "Window name:" and "Window class:" you don't need them.
OK, I did, it works, I will try again in different situations.
Are you using the Fullscreen or Window option in XBMCs Video output settings?
The Fullscreen, I would say, if it is the same as "Vollbild auf Monitor".
Copy it again, I had to fix the internal plugin name as mine is "XBMC" and yours is probably "XBMC2".
OK, I did.
Edit: If you are using XBMC 12 (Frodo) or newer you need to update the XBMC plugin in the EventGhost dir\Plugins\XBMCRepeat with this one, as the one included in EventGhost don't support using JSON-RPC with Frodo.
Yes, I use Frodo.

I replaced the old - C:\Program Files (x86)\EventGhost\plugins\XBMCRepeat\__init__.py - with the new __init__.py

Now it looks: Image

Check in XBMCs settings\Services\Webserver that you allow control of XBMC via HTTP and that the port no is the same in XBMC2s settings (Right click XBMC2 in autostart then configure item) if they are the same change both to for example 8080 (something that isn't used by any other program).

Change the "80" to "8080" in both XBMC2 plugin and XBMC.

Hmm, try changing the ports to 8081 as it seems to connect to something but it don't seem to be XBMC.

Edit: Do you have a firewall that might be interfering?

I did (have I to restart EG each time after such changes? I did the last times). No changes.

Cannot find anything in Comodo Firewall, what might be blocking such an action.

No need to restart EventGhost.

I have a feeling it's not the firewall but I'm outta ideas. I'll try to make the plugin give more useful information when there is a problem connecting. Don't know when yet.

OK, thank you.

The new / changed settings in XBMC done for this macro, I can leave as they are, I assume, they won't effecit other functions.

Yes you can leave them. If you use some other program/device to connect to XBMC then the port setting will create problems to connect.

OK, thanks, no there are not other devices or programs to be connected to XBMC (as far as I know).

Hide / show OSD?

Is there a way I could always automatically hide the OSD when starting / unpause a video? So e.g. the video is opened (and paused), I press play and the OSD then shall disappear automatically.

Hmm, What OSD? as When I start playing a video there is no OSD to hide. I need a screenshot and/or better description, sorry.

Very strange, sorry, I am not able to provide a better explanation, hope the screen shot will help.

Looks like I have the same issue connecting as Biff?
Tried 8081 - Am I supposed to use the same port in both IP adress of Xbmc and JSON-RPC notification port?
