There is one particular error message I get fairly frequently that comes through as an Info item rather than Event:

Pioneer_AV_NET: ERROR: [Errno 10054] An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

Usually if I reissue the command, it goes through. Any idea how I can trap for this so I can try again? Thanks.

Hmm, I'm surprised that you even get that Error, is your connection unstable (W-LAN) or are you using other tools to control the AVR from time to time?

Hi. The connection is hard-wired ethernet. I use this plugin from two different PCs to control a VSX-1123, but very separated in time (usually hours).

I am not sure about your Pioneer type receiver, but I believe mine (VSX 2021) has a feature to keep the LAN connection alive. This is less energy-efficient, but might keep your connection alive?
