How did you do it? I would have thought that writing LUA for the LUUP engine would have been more ideal. Most of the calls I have ever made through the network have been using REST with SOAP protocols which is fairly quick, but then again, I have never tried to ramp a dimmer switch. I only ask because I'm curious if this more intensive on Vera by tying up the network while specific background jobs are running locally.kgschlosser wrote:and i fixed all the before mentioned problems.

well it doesn't tie up the vera, it makes a new call to the vera for each and every percent or fraction of a percent moved, giving the vera time to process other things, the only thing i have ever truly found to hang up the vera is when it's doing device retries because of a zwave problem and has nothing to do with anything outside of the vera, i do know that having the vera process cameras other than to hand off to some other device beats the hell out of it to.
