Much of this topic appears out of date. For those of us who are new, and really have no need to read through 7 pages of posts regarding the history of the server and various people's input/comments/suggestions, would it be possible for the admins or mods to create a new sticky topic explaining the current status of the server, with a link to this topic for history?
(I say this as someone who is in a house considering moving to a 100+ mbit business-class internet connection, and has hosted web servers before. When I saw this topic, I thought, "I could host this...", but then I read the first and last few posts and realized that decisions and migrations have already occurred.)
I understand if nobody feels like moving this -- I know what it's like to be an admin stuck with an old project that I've moved on from and don't want to work on.
