Hi,

I am working on a layout repository for the app but it doesn't exist, yet.
For now, if you want to just transfer your layout to other Android devices, you can use the export/import function. (It works for different screen sizes)
I hope to get the layout repository done within the next month. Depends on how much free time I get to spend on this.

Hi,
What's happening with the 30 day lasting only 1 day, please get this sorted out so others don't have the same frustration.
Also looking forward to the layout repository.
Thanks for creating a very useful app.

One day only? On all your devices?

I'll check that as soon as I get home which is not before tomorrow night. In the meantime, can you send me a Message with your device ids? I can check if it's a database issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I cant create multiple layouts. Looks like it only renames the first one.

So when you go to edit mode -> create layout -> [enter some name] -> save there is no new layout?

Or did you click on "layout properties"?

Layout properties -> Server -> Global Default

When I change the Layout-Sever settings to my Server "xyz" it does not save it.
Always stay on Global Default and I get the message "could not send the event"

Please add

[1] copy/paste between layouts
[2] export icon as Andoid-Widget

Great work!!

Hi Clyde,

[1] and [2] are planned. I also found your error. With layouts, the server should be saved correctly, though. Only displaying the server that belongs to the layout was broken.

So after saving the layout, the server should be the one that you selected. No matter that it says "GLOBAL DEFAULT" when you go back to editing the layout.

This will be fixed in the next version. I am not entirely sure when I can implement the other two points but they will come.

It works now. Tnx. I did exactly as before but now it worked. I restarted the phone earlier. Might have helped.

Or not.. ive been able to create 2 of the 4 layouts that i want. When i click "edit mode" -> "create layout" -> sets a name and a icon. When i click save it just changes the name and icon of my already existing seconds layout.

EDIT: Im also using custom images.
EDIT2: After i restarted terRemote (killed and restarted) it now seem to work.
I noticed that i dont see the "create layout" when im NOT in the Edit mode. I did that before the restart.

EDIT3: Ok i found a workaround. Kill and restart terRemote for every layer you want to make.

Ok, now I was able to reproduce the error. Thanks for the detailed report.
I'm sure I can fix it with the next update.

Btw. Thanks to everyone for their great feedback!

Is it possible to change state of a button if a switch goes on or off?

Currently the layout looks like this:
2012-10-08 12.29.54.jpg
i would like to use one button per switch and that eventghost updates the button state whenever a switch is turned on or off.
Is this possible?

Could this be added as a feature in terRemote and eventghost for a more user friendly approach?

Tnx for a great app.
It looks promising and i hope you will continue to develop this great app for a long time.
Will definitely purchase it for our smartphones.

Hi,

whenever EventGhost gets the status of a switch you can send an event to terRemote like "SwitchKitchen-Off" and then create a macro that reacts on this event and that has an action "Change Widget".
Currently you can change the text and icon. For your purpose, the design should be changed which is currently not possible but I think I can include it relatively easily. Or you use a "glowing lightbulb" icon in addition to the current one.

You can also add a macro sending a "get status" event to EventGhost whenever the layout is displayed. EventGhost would then send the status of all the switches and you always have the correct button state right from the start.

Look at the tutorial "Getting information from EventGhost" on the terRemote Help-page for the basic setup. For a more elaborate example, import the predefined "System" layout, go to http://www.terremote.com/tutorials/system and follow the instructions. You can then see how the "mute" button always displays the current Windows mute state. This is very similar to what you want to do. It's not completely trivial but I hope that you can do it after understanding this example.

For any further questions, don't hesitate to send me a message.

I've just started playing with this app and have enjoyed it. Still needs some polish, but has potential to out compete with Hipporemote when paired with some other android applications that I can just launch from within terRemote.

A couple of feature request and suggestions mainly with swiping menus from the sides. It would be great if I could swipe back the layout selection menu after it comes up. There have been times where I accidentally accessed this option and then have to dedicate more attention to picking the right landscape that I'm using at that time. A simple swipe back to the left would be great to close this option.

The second would be swiping from the right side of the screen to the left to cycle through layouts. I don't use that many layouts and the ability to just swipe from right to left to bring up the next one would be very convenient. This basically allows me to navigate with less thought to what I'm doing.

All in all its doing well. Some intermittent lagging every once in a while, but looking forward to optimizations in the future. I was confused about the name initially too, but find it interesting now. Do you have a latin background?

Ive been unsuccessful setting up state retrieval. I think i need a step by step guide or maybe im just stupid.

Anyway, a quick bugreport.

As previously reported.

- Trial period is just one day.
- Google Play link in the popup is not working.

I couldn't find any reason for the short trial period. It works correctly both on my device and on my emulator. Could someone who experiences this problem send me an email address so I can send him/her a different version for debugging?
