I just now tried to add a plugin into the empty configuration.
No problems here.
What version of EventGhost you have?
You must have version r1669 or later.

I would like to use this plugin to send a Note that a uTorrent download has completed; uTorrent has an option to run a bat/other file.

Input would be appreciated in configuring a EG-based bat to send PB note.

So in that case it is very easy.
1) Create a bat file (the path may be different in your case):

Code: Select all

"C:\Program files\EventGhost\EventGhost.exe" -event uTorrentDownloadCompleted
2) Create a macro in the configuration tree:
DownloadCompleted.png
3) Turn on the execution of the bat file when the download is completed

Note:
Perhaps it is unnecessary to use the bat file, if uTorrent can directly execute the same command ...

It appears that you have not properly installed plugin.
You have followed the instructions?

Pako,

I am really enjoying your Pushbullet plugin, thanks for this great contribution.

Your plugin requires latest Eventghost version, so I want to upgrade Eventghost now.
I don't want to mess anything up, so I was looking at the exact upgrade procedure for Eventghost, but I could not find it anywhere?
I came up with the following list of questions that I hope you can help me with.

1. When upgrading, do we need to first uninstall the previous version of Eventghost, or is this automatically taken care of when executing the installer .exe file?
2. When doing an automatic or manual upgrade, do we need to make back-ups of any files first?
3. If back-ups are needed, where do we need to look for these files and what are they?
4. If back-ups are needed, can the backed up files be placed back at the same locations they came from after the upgrade is completed?
5. I have noticed that for the upgrading of some plugins, all related existing actions/macros in Eventghost must be deleted first. Is this the case for the Puhbullet plugin as well? (that procedure is very painful if there are many macros using such a plugin; is there an alternative to manually looking for each instance and deleting them and maybe an easy way to back-up the codes for replacing them after upgrading the plugin?)

Thanks and best regards,
Perry

1.) You do not need to uninstall the older version. It will be automatically overwritten by new files.
2.) Backup is always good (xml file), you do not know what can happen. But if all goes normally, it is not required.
3.) -
4.) -
5.) No special procedure is required. However, I can not guarantee that a problem may occur. Then it would be enough to remove the problematic action and then re-add and configure.

Note: At the moment, there is one exception. After the upgrade you need to open the plugin and set the "Enable popping up of mirrored notification" (it was changed to the inverse).

Thanks, the new Pushbullet now works on my test rig.
I do have two non-Pushbullet error messages that I will post in another thread regarding the latest Eventghost version.

Perry

This happens immediately after the Tornado error message, which I also don't know what it is...

Edit: for information: using version 0.4.1 r. 1669 dated 9 June 2014 and followed the procedures at the beginning of this thread.
