Hi DaeronAlagos,
Yeah, i haven't posted anything but Google TTS changed something about a month or two ago.
I personally would love to use the PC based TTS, especially if it can be integrated into Win10 cortana. But, I never had a lot of time to figure out how to do this easily. There were two ways I was looking into, either you create a wav file for every message you want ahead of time (not TTS) and you just play that file which the plugin supports now, or I was looking into a way that would create a stream of the audio of the PC that SONOS could request and play, then you just use the PC TTS.
The full idea is you have the plugin startup capturing the audio and the audio stream, set sonos to connect to that stream, then play windows TTS. This theoretically should work. I wasn't sure the best way to do the second option. I was looking at VLC and other SW solutions but never made it very far.

Okay,
I did some more digging and some quick testing.
I first found eSpeak which allowed me to quickly create TTS -> wav files that I could then play through SONOS. This actually worked quickly but it required installing eSpeak and the voices were very robotic. I couldn't figure out how to use the window voices through this so started looking again. Now I think I have a way to do this without any other installs:

So this shows I can create the .wav files I need without the eSpeak. So I can implement this today with the current plugin and a python action but I'll have to do some programming to get the plugin to actually handle everything a little nicer and allow you to pick the voice you want to use. With that said, there is already a "Speech" plugin:
http://eventghost.org/forum/viewtopic.p ... 5cd#p34897 that does everything accept output to a .wav file. I have asked to see if that would be easy to add to that plugin, and if I get a chance, i'll look into it as well. This will allow TTS through SONOS without Google or a Line-In. This of course would be ideal.
This also works very quickly, the audio file is created instantly and as long as the .wav file is in a network shared locaiton, it an be played through sonos using the NotifcationURL action.

Volume adjust does not work for me any more. Is it just me??
I just tested mine with the latest SONOS update and it seemed to work still.
I'm not seeing any errors in the log you posted so I'm not sure what could be going on.
I would just say to reboot EG and possibly your SONOS player and try again?

The same problem on my EG SONOS control.
Since last SONOS update I can't setplaylist anymore. The ones that were assigned still work.

OKi.. It happened after update here aswell.
I hope techoguy is back on the forum soon with som positive news.
For now I will just live without it!!

Same problem: can't setplaylist anymore. The ones that were assigned still work, but they aren't visible in the playlist.

Hey all,
It does look like SONOS changed something in the way favorites was stored and received. I'll have to look into this but right now I'm not going to have much time. If anyone can help, please let me know.

on a seperat note, I can getting **Response HTML Error from Living Room: 500 Internal Sever Error
Not sure why I am getting this error when trying to 'play' and 'pause' My Living Room Sonos
It was working well until a few days ago and my Kitchen Sonos works normally too by EG
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Litfoo,
Which sonos equipment are in your Living room and kitchen? Also, when you get that error, does the SONOS player still play and pause or nothing happens?

hi techoguy,
Living Room is the ZP90 unit and kitchen is Play 3
I tried kitchen Sonos which worked but living room Sonos just errors and nothing happens - it does not trigger the harmony command to play the ZP90 (as before)
