You have two conflicting installs on the machine.

Same problem here. I'm also running Vista x64.. I get the error after installing r965 or r970. Reinstalled r918, works fine.

I don't have two different paths showing up in logs though, only this:

I seem to be having the same issue as the first poster. although I cannot read the language, it seems to be exactly the same error. But I do not have two installs, only one. Furthermore, I am using Windows XP SP3 32 bit. I tried r965 and r973 and am getting the error on both. Haven't tried r970, but r918 works just fine.

here it is.
the error occurs at the end of installation (before setup completes), and then every time I try to run Eventghost. Doing what is suggested in the log file, i.e. re-installing, does not resolve the issue.

Ok, this seems to be another kind of bug. Might be a problem with the new wxPython. Please try this:

1. Make sure your current configuration XML is stored in a save place (so not inside the 'program files' folder or 'application data' folder).
2. Uninstall the current EventGhost version.
3. Make sure the folder C:\Program files\EventGhost has been removed. If not, remove it manually.
4. Install 0.3.7.r973

ok sorry for the delay in answering, I was out of town. I just tried what you suggested, in addition I searched for all occurrences of "eventghost" on my C drive to make sure I had wiped out everything, and I did the same for the registry and cleared all eventghost entries
I got the same error after re-installing r973.
This is the error I get during install and then I get the same error every time I attempt to launch Eventghost and the same error gets appended to the log.txt over and over again.

I have an idea. 0.3.7.986 is up in a pair of minutes.
