Specified Audio Device for Volume Control does not work Win7

Win 7 x64 with 0.4.0.r1397
Added volume control to control a specific audio device. The selected device gets ignored, it still controls the default window audio device.

too bad development stopped. anyone can come up with an idea for a workaround? i think I am pretty lost with that, but would be an important thing.
