my medion x10 remote controler & WMC on windows 7

Post by mathew27 »

Hi,
I've got a little problem. when I was using windows xp this kind of problem didn't exist but now when I'm using windows 7 it drives me mad.
I'm using windows seven 32 bit with this hardware and this remote.

When I press one of these buttons:

they should start one of programmed programs and for example when I press 'music' ALSong should start and it is starting but with Windows Media Center. And this is the main problem, when i use those buttons windows media center starts, i tried to use various kinds of x10 driver, but still i've got the same problem. I want to disable starting wmc when i use these buttons. I would be grateful if somebody could help me.

if my English seems to you odd, it's because I'm not native English user. :D

if this problem is already solved please give me a link.

no I don't but thanks for answering me. I'll check this link.

edit: :D:D:D
I've got solution of this problem. windows seven installed own drivers of x10 device and this was cause of my problem. when I disabled Microsoft HID device drivers WMC do not run and I can use my remote. thanks for this link - it helped me.

maybe someone could open forum in others languages like polish? I think that EG should have support in many others languages. many nationalities use this awesome program. :)
