Use EventGhost with HD-Plex RC6 IR internal receiver

I recently purhcased this HD-PLex internal IR receiver (http://www.hd-plex.com/remote.control.html) to allow me to boot on my pc with the remote.

However, it needs to be plugged into the usb socket to receive the neutral power connection and therefore registers in windows 7 and processes IR commands. I currently use the standard MS receiver and remote which works very with eventghost. I have been unable to disable the internal IR receiver and now receive double key presses when using xbmc.

Is it possible to use EventGhost with the internal IR receiver mentioned above which would solve my problems and allow me to tidy up a bit by removing the old external receiver.

Similarly, I have another htpc which has the imon vfd which in turn has a built in ir receiver and I need to use the imon software to do anything with it. Is it possible to use Eventghost with this?

Sorry, but i really can't see your problem.

It seems to work already, cause you get double Events... just pull out your old MCE receiver and it should be done.

There is an imon eventghost plugin, but it hasn't the MCE codes implemented. Furthermore some keys like up, down, left, right, number keys and so on are directly mapped to the Keyboard HID by the imon hardware (which means they emulate keyboard presses), so these remote-keys can't be re-assigned with eventghost. In short: the imon devices are completely useless for me.

The problem is as specified. Very simple - can eventghost work with the ir receiver specified in the above post?

If it was a case of simply unplugging the old mce receiver I would've doen that. I get double presses because eventghost processes the signal from the external sensor and the op sys is processing the signal from the internal sensor (which isnt being processed by eventghost).

So, again, the question is - can eventghost capture the key presses from the internal sensor?
