Re: Find window + Lock mouse
I do not use programs like XBMC. And that's why I probably do not understand what the benefits of lock mouse.
However, I used Google and I got these two results:
WMC 1.2.3.3
and
Cursor Lock
I think that especially with the second of these programs you can achieve the desired effect.

Re: Find window + Lock mouse
I'll try these softs but it would be nice to have a built-in function in eventghost
Actually in eventghost i believe "Move mouse Absolute" would probably be good enough for what my needs if it could support Multi monitors but it doesn't as of now. Perhaps you could implement that soon ?

That's not true. I think, that the action Mouse: Move Absolute supports multi-monitors configuration always.themaster1 wrote:... for what my needs if it could support Multi monitors but it doesn't as of now.
For example, for the second monitor you have to adjust the coordinates X and Y to the size of the first monitor and the relative positions of the two monitors.
Something you can read about it:

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/14875/ma ... correctly/
http://www.flounder.com/virtual_screen_coordinates.htm
But it is true that I can add more comfort for the choice of monitor.
I do not know how soon it can be. I must borrow a monitor.

Re: Find window + Lock mouse
If i'm in full screen there is no need the problem arise when i'm not in full screen.Imagine i have firefox on the 3/4 of the screen and xbmc as a small window on the upper left.jonib wrote:Why do you need to lock the mouse to the XBMC window?
jonib
I switch back & forth monitors using ultramonitor option called "move mouse to next monitor" and it center the mouse in the middle of the screen
Moving the mouse is not even enough to gain control of an app i'm forced to use "left click mouse" in conjunction.
Obviously if i use the OSMenu no need to do al that, the problem is that the OsMenu is not that handy imo i would very much prefer a system where you find the window of your choice with a single button on the remote something that highlight the window and you have instant control.
Re: Find window + Lock mouse
On my Windows XP I'm able to move between my two screens. Maybe you are hitting a specific bug?themaster1 wrote:If i tell you it doesn't support multi-monitors, i'm sure of what i'm saying, not making stuff up

Don't Find Window and Bring to front work for you? That's what I use and they work great.themaster1 wrote:i would very much prefer a system where you find the window of your choice with a single button on the remote something that highlight the window and you have instant control.

Pako... if you update the plugin please consider making a few additions...Pako wrote:That's not true. I think, that the action Mouse: Move Absolute supports multi-monitors configuration always.themaster1 wrote:... for what my needs if it could support Multi monitors but it doesn't as of now.

A) detecting the screen resolutions of all screens and display the resolutions with screen #s in the plugin window - for reference.
B) ability to select 'center' as an option... thus, the plugin auto detects what the center coordinates are for each screen (requires A, I think)
C) today, when a display is turned off, the plugin will not show it in the drop-down box. Is it possible to always allow it to display after the first time it is detected?
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system
