MCE & Serial Plugin @ same time?

Hi forum,
I am hoping someone can help me out with this as it has me stumped. I am running the following setup w/ Eventghost:
HTPC w/ 4x port RS232 card
Attached to those serial ports are the following:
port 1: Denon AVR4311CI
Port 2: Oppo BDP-93
Port 3: BenQ W6000 projector
Additionally, I have the HTPC running eventghost w/ the MCE plugin for iRule control of the MCE interface. This is working beautifully with the broadcast plugin. The problem is when I add the serial devices. If I leave the MCE plugin and broadcaster plugin, everything works fine. The moment I add the serial plugin and configure the devices, MCE Master can't see commands coming in.
I do have the broadcast plugin configured correctly, as I have been able to get RS232 control, if the MCE Plugin and MCE master aren't installed.
It is almost as if the MCE Plugin and the Serial Plugin can't run @ the same time. I don't know if this is the broadcast plugin's fault (can't relay both MCE and serial commands?)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to get the 3x RS232 ports running @ the same time as the MCE plugin.
Thanks so much in advance.
