Find Window appears to be broken

I am using EventGhost 0.4.1.r1582. It appears that emulated keystrokes are not going to the window found by Find Window, but rather to the window that has focus. This defeats the purpose of Find Window.

My configuration is:
MCE Remote plugin
Up
MceRemote.Mce.Up
Find Window: NextPVR.exe
Emulate Keystrokes: {Up}
Autorepeat current macro: 0.8

I solved my problem. I switched from AlternateMceIrService to the regular Mce Remote, and did not switch the event from MceRemote.Mce.up to MceRemote.Up.

find window work rather well if and only if (in my experience) the window has a window class and window name, program only is not enough

example for dvbviewer:
program: dvbviewer.exe
window name: DVB Viewer
window class: TfrmMain

example for xbmc:
program: XBMC.exe
name: XBMC
class: XBMC

TMT5:
uTotalMediaTheatre5.exe
TotalMedia Theatre 5
_MIRACLE_20090309_1

There are exceptions aswell:
VLC:
Vlc.exe (that's it !)



If you use find window (with name & class) + bring to front that should solve your problem i believe
