TechniSat USB IR Device shows no events on keypress

Hey guys!
I spent my entire evening searching for a solution for this problem, but all i found either did not work or was a question itself.
Please forgive me if the answer is already out there and i just didn't find it yet.
The problem is as follows:
The log on the left side shows events like Task.Activated.EventGhost so i assume it's working. But no matter what i do, it never shows events when i'm pressing a button on my TTS35AI remote control (both the remote control and the usb IR reciever were part of a technisat skystar 2)
If i'm using the IR reciever without any special drivers, it's detected as a keyboard and some -not all- buttons are assigned with certain keys (e.g. 1-9,s,m,i...)
I guess in this case i could use the keyboard plugin, but i didn't try it yet because i'm looking for a "smooth" solution.
As soon as i try to activate the TechniSat USB plugin, a window opens asking me to install drivers for this plugin to work correctly.
The first time it downloaded something, now it starts with installing drivers. After this the plugin starts without errors, but the problem still persists, no events are shown in the log window on keypress.
In addition to that, once the driver is installed the buttons on the remote have lost their function (that means opening notepad and pressing them doesn't lead to typing characters anymore).
I've tried both drivers from USB-Remote-Drivers.exe and the plugin prompt.
When trying to change the driver via device-manager it offers version 1.0.0.9 from 2009 (errors with the plugin; probably from .exe) and 1.0.2.0 from 2010 (no errors; probably the one the plugin installs).
I'd appreciate every hint you can give me to get my remote control to work since i really love the options EventGhost seems to offer.
Thanks in advance,
Honk
