Generic HID Plugin - Devices not recognizing

So a few weeks ago I bought a new computer and simply transferred all my data from the old computer to the new computer (both run Windows 7 64-bit) and everything appeared fine. It wasn't until recently that I noticed that there was a problem with EG and Generic HID Plugin in that none of my devices were actually being listed when trying to add a new device. All that shows up on my device list are three identical device names titled "USB Receiver" and have "Yes" as the connected status.
I thought at first that there might just be a problem with the devices I use (i.e. bluetooth adapter, usb dongles, etc...), so I tried disconnected every usb device from my computer, yet the list stayed exactly the same. No changes whatsoever.
The biggest different I noticed is that my bluetooth usb dongle is no longer listed (which is how I noticed this problem in the first place). On my old computer, it recognized fine and I could get the events of the bluetooth buttons. However, now it doesn't detect any buttons at all nor does it show the device as being listed.
However, an important note is that when I attach/detach a device, it does register an event on EG. So EG does recognize the devices, but won't list/listen to them. Why is this and what can I do to solve it?

So my problem here is that the Generic HID Plugin is not recognizing devices and that mainly my bluetooth usb dongle doesn't get any events like it used to on my old computer.

Things I have tried so far:
- Removing all usb devices (found that attached/detached event occurs in EG); no change in devices listed in HID Plugin
- Upgrading to latest build of EG
- Compatibility mode with every version upwards starting with Windows XP SP3 (except for Windows Server)

I am quite frustrated with this because it has worked in the past on my old computer, but on my new one it doesn't seem to want to work at all. What should I do?
