Getting TBS remote to communicate with MediaPortal!!

Hope I'm in the right place here!
Have TBS 6922 card...and an unknown remote that came with it.
I'm advised that Event Ghost might be used to get this remote working in MediaPortal.
...Haven't a CLUE where to start...and hoping for some guidance...preferably 'idiot proof'....
