Lirc Timeout Settings

Post by ralphmichael17 »

I am using a homebrew ir reciever and blaster so that I may use my media remote to control my tv volume and power.

My first problem was when holding a button on the remote, such as a volume plus or minus, it would generate only one event, or sometimes 2 when I let up on the button. I configured the Lirc plugin to have the timeout for enduring events to 100ms, this solved that problem and when I hold the button it constantly generates a volume up event from lirc.

But this also affects all other buttons so pressing play will generate multiple events even if quickly pressing the button. Is there a way to

A)set timeout settings only for particular lirc events or
B) Have it recognize only first events for certain button events?
