Hi aqua,

It looks like that remote control uses a serial port receiver.
Most likely, none of the plugins will work with it immediately.
However, chances are good that the serial port plugin can be adapted to make it work with this remote.

You will also need to use a USB-to-serial port adaptor to get it to work with your computer.
I have read that some of them are better than others.
If memory serves me, the ones which use FDDI chips are the best.

The new version looks promising.

The USB receiver looks a lot like 0042.

What you need to do is ask your friend to look at the Vendor ID and Product ID using the Windows Device Manager.
(the method is described in the lenghthy section of Procedure 01)
If the Vendor ID is 147A and the Product ID is E02D, then it should work with RP-0024.

Otherwise, you stand a better chance with the serial port version.
