Hello,

I've got some problems with the wake on lan function of eventghost. I can't figure out for the life of me whats wrong and I've been searching around.

- I have disabled that mouse and keyboard can wake the computer up.
- I have enabled the WoL function in BIOS.
- I have tried everything I can think of and tried to google and read old WoL posts on this forum, but can't seem to find anything to solve my problem.
- Upgraded BIOS
- Updated tons of drivers
- Checked BIOS for anything that could get me closer to an answer (Didn't get any wiser)

Edit: I use:

- Windows 7 Professional
- Service pack 1
- EG version on the computer that goes to sleep and wake up: 0.4.1.r1669

I've been googeling around this problem for so many hours now and I finally found something. I used "Event Viewer" in windows to determine what was causing the computer to wake automatic from sleep and I've found that the source is:

Wake Source: Device -Intel(R) C600/X79 series chipset PCI Express Root Port 3 - 1D14

Anyone know what I need to do in order to fix this and stop it from waking my computer up?

If I don't find this out within a few days I will probably just format the whole damn shit and start over.

USB-Equipment I have that may interfere(?)

- Razer blackwidow keyboard
- Razer imperator
- Logitech webcam
- Logitech G930 wireless headset

I have tried to pull out everything attached to the computer (in the usb ports) and it still happens.

The problem is that the computer always wake up from the sleep request I sent after some time. I have found out that the time it takes to wake up (automatically) varies from 30 sec to 5 mins and more.

When I pull out the USB equipment from the computer the "System.DeviceAttached" stuff don't happen, but the computer STILL wakes up automatically from the sleep command I send. But then the log is much cleaner and only says something like this:

System.Resume

Or something like that, can't really recall 100%.

Does anyone have a fix or know whats wrong?

If it happens to me it's usually that I've forgotten to only wake on magic packet instead of any network traffic. Check properties on the network card and go to Power Management and check Only wake on magic packet.

Once I also had the same problem because of the keep alive messages sent from Microsoft for their IPv6 tunneling service. Worth a try if the first wasn't your problem. Go to Services and disable the IP Helper service.
