HP USB Receiver and MCE Remote

Post by memevertical »

Hi Guys.

I'm on Win 7. I installed the lates MCE Drivers. When I run EG I have the MCE Win 7 Plugin to start. But when I press buttons on my MCE Remote, nothing appears on the log.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

So, You installed the mce drivers from the plugin?
Please make sure that the alternatemceservice is running!

Yeah, I came to the forums and found the lates MCE Drivers for Win 7. I went to the "MCE Drivers Vista/Win 7" folder and replaced its contents.

I also installed the Alternate Service x64.

When running EG, I make sure the service is running. I also make sure the "MCE Win 7" plugin is running within EG.

And still nothing.

Any ideas? :)

I remember it working flawlessly on a Windows Vista PC I had before.

Does it at least provide the default functions, like controlling the Medialcenter?
I have no idea to be honest, sometimes it's good to start all over..
You could try using the driver that comes with Windows with the alternateMCEservice and the latest plugin (that should come with the latest version of EG anyway)
