Thanks for the wonderfull program. :D
I was using "away mode" with a USB remote of microsoft. I love this functionality . Here is an explanation.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902437
Now I have Firefly remote that do not have this action (I am mainly using MediaPortal). In the actions of "power managment" in EventGhost there is not "away mode".
I tried to program it with actions the program have: I was able to stop the player, switch off the monitor, but I cannot filter keyboard and remote strokes (the idea is to ignore all of them except the one that is going to awake the system).

Do you think this is easy to do?

From the MSDN documentation it looks like the "away mode" replaces the suspend mode if enabled. Have you tried what happens if you use EG's suspend state?

Which key do you have to press on the MCE remote to get into away mode? The power button?

Thanks Bitmoster for answering. This is how it works today

I configure to use away mode instead of suspend and
Power button in IR Microsoft remote it goes to Away mode
Power button in the computer it goes to Suspend mode
GE suspend action it goes to Suspend mode

Before I had another X10 RF remote and it was able to go to away, I guess emulating the IR Microsoft remote

This Away mode is fantastic for Media Center, specilly if you are recording shows in television
