I have an incredibly strange problem with "stuck" keys. I've tried searching the forum but am having trouble trying to figure out what to look up or how to even describe this...

I have the Keyboard plugin running and at first it runs fine, but after a while (sometimes a short while) keys get stuck, for example when I press the Ctrl button, something like this shows up in my log.

Keyboard.Ctrl+E+F+P

I'm only pressing Ctrl, but EG thinks I'm pressing Ctrl E F and P. So when I go later to use a shortcut, say... Ctrl+N EG actually thinks I'm pressing Ctrl+E+F+P+N. Obviously the shortcut winds up not working. It's crippling and completely unusable.

The only way to "fix" this is to actually go into EG, click on the log and type each letter one by one with seems to clear it from memory, so to speak. Once I do that and go back and press Control, the log only shows Ctrl. This is only a temporary fix, however and it will kick back up again. I've tried recreating my configuration. Stopping and starting it. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled EG and nothing.

Does anyone have any advice here on what I can do?

No advice but just wanted to say I am also having the same problem where my ctrl key gets 'stuck'. It's very annoying because suddenly everything I type turns into shortcut keys, for example if I type s it saves the document. I always suspected it was caused by the Emulate Keystrokes action. Do you use that one in your configuration?

This is a long-standing bug in the Keyboard plugin, not triggered by Emulate Keystrokes. My replacement plugin, Keyboard+, works flawlessly, but the ancient version of wxPython we bundle doesn't play well with it and produces periodic crashes. Currently, there's no perfect solution to this issue. We'd love a patch from anyone clever enough to produce one.
