What kind of serial port is this? An USB-RS232-Adapter or a real port on the mainboard?

First I had a USB-RS232, then I bought a pci hoping that would fix it...
Did not...

I would bet, this is a driver or IRQ issue.

Still think so even after I changed between usb and pci serialport?

If so, how can I try to solve that? Can usb and pci use the same irq?

I have seen many people with such problems if they use PCI or USB serial ports. The only one I can really recommend are USB-adapters that are equipped with an FTDI chip.
