Possible server downtime

I am going to be making some changes to the web server this morning. My goal is to have this be seamless for you folks. but in the event that something happens I am backing up the whole server. so basically anything posted from this time forward will not be backed up. and in the event something does take place if you posted in the forum after this you may have to re post it.

If everything goes as planned it should only take about 15 minutes to complete the backup as well as make all of the changes.
in the event it does not got well. it will take an aditional 10 minutes to restore the server to it's previous state.

The changes being made will hopefully fix having to login 2 times when connecting to the forum using eventghost.org. as well as I am hoping that it will correct the isue when you are keying in a really long post and your session times out and forces you to login. and when you do your forum post has disappeared. I believe this is a cookie related issue and I am hoping the 2 are linked together.

The second thing I am going to do is implement a mobile version of the forum. I personally find it rather annoying when posting to have you text end up behind the submit button. I am sure other have experienced this as well. There will be a link on the mobile version to switch to the desktop version if that is what you like. The mobile version is going to automatically load if you connect from a mobile device.

When the changes are finished I will post back here letting you know. and you will have to reload the page to make the changes work. if there is a problem please post here. if there is a problem in which you are unable to get onto the forum please post on our GitHub page located here https://github.com/EventGhost/EventGhost/issues

Thank you

K

Well no complaints about things not working properly. That's a good thing. When I get home I will be finishing up that test server. But I will also be testing the cookie thing to see if it fixed that issue. And also the login timeout while writing a post thing. Which I believe could have been caused by the cookie data issue.
