I am not locked into anything. The only reason i am using the winamp software is because it allows me to use 4 instances of winamp at the same time. I play the audio from each winamp through 4 different sound cards so it allows me to have 4 different playlist piped through my house at any given time ...

I am also interested in this. I would like to capture events from a Phillips Pronto remote control using a socket connection. I dont know how to program in python but i will give it a shot. would the TheatreTek plugin be a good place to start?

waking pc from standby or hibernate
i am having a problem getting a computer to wake after it goes into standby or hibernate. I can successfully wake the computer from lan if it is completly off, but for some reason when its in hibernate, it will not work. Does anyone have any suggestions?
