I will try to find that (winlirc as for windows from what I understand). I assume it does not matter if it is USB or RS232?

I have been searching and searching, but have not found the answer to this although I suspect is is a simple yes, but just to be sure:
I know the USBUIRT will work fine with EG, but as I do not really need the receiver part (will control it from Android/WIFI) and the USBUIRT is for now not ...
