Hi,
I have been searching and searching, but have not found the answer to this although I suspect is is a simple yes, but just to be sure:

I know the USBUIRT will work fine with EG, but as I do not really need the receiver part (will control it from Android/WIFI) and the USBUIRT is for now not available in Europe (importing it would probably make it cost around USD 100) I am wondering if any IR transmitter/blaster/emitter (not sure if there is any difference between the three?) work with Evenghost?

Or does it have to be somehow compatible with e.g. MCE or the like?

If this is possible, does anybody know where to get such a thing in Europe (within the EU)?

Google for lirc or winlirc ir transmitter. There is a lirc plugin for EventGhost

I will try to find that (winlirc as for windows from what I understand). I assume it does not matter if it is USB or RS232?
