I have a PN42B450. Can't find where I can do this.... I don't think mine has serial control. It does have a USB on the back that's labeled service, but I can't find any info on this. The service menu doesn't show anything about serial.

Pretty much all my stuff is keyboard driven. So I have a trigger of ctrl-alt-f1 assigned to one of my macros. All I had to do to activate the macro was load the new simkey plugin. Even though the event starts with simkey in the log, the event will still trigger on the physical keyboard ...

I thought I would have to go and add new triggers for the simulated keypresses in addition to the physical keypresses. Turns out it will trigger on the same keypress for physical and simulated as long as both plugins are loaded. Not sure if that was your intention for the plugin or not.

I found the old version. At the time that I built my media pc, the comments that I read indicated it wasn't the newest, but it was the most stable release. 0.3.6.1487, downloaded in March. I'm tempted to get the keyboard plugin out of it and see if it will work with the newest version.

It was a 0.3.6.xxx version. It's not on the download page anymore and I'm not sure I have it on my media pc anymore. I'll look for it when I get it hooked back up. I'm taking advantage of the 4 days off here in the US to move it down to my basement so I can hook it up directly to a TV.

The older version recognized all keypresses even if they were simulated. I'm simply asking if there is a way to return to that behavior. Other than downgrading. :) Or if an option can be put in to support that behavior.

In my case I just want the keyboard plugin to see all keyboard events again like it used to. That way I can use anything to trigger the event.

Sorry, I can't. The application isn't open source and even if it was I am not a programmer.
