Re: Launch an Application from Remote Control using EG
It doesn't appear that my PC is "seeing" when I press, for example, the RED or YELLOW button on the remote... I see no record in EG's log about the action... Or am I doing something wrong?
Does that mean that the receiver isn't the "ideal" one?

Re: Launch an Application from Remote Control using EG
I have the Logitech 650 but I am not certain I am using their USB dongle... I have a Logitech K400r wireless keyboard/mouse which came with a small Logitech-branded USB and I've got another (unlogoed) USB receiver that I cannot recall where it comes from.

Re: Launch an Application from Remote Control using EG
Thank you for your reply! I really appreciate it.
I'm currently able to control PLEX on my PC from the remote... Do I need additional "control" provided by FLIRC or CEC, or does the Logitech 650 Remote's USB dongle provide enough control?
I DO have a FLIRC! I hope I can find it -- we moved ...

Launch an Application from Remote Control using EG
Though I have been a member of this forum since 2010, I am brand-new to EventGhost...
I read that it could be configured to allow me to press a button (the Red button) on my remote (a Harmony 650) to launch an application on my PC (Windows 10). The application is Plex Home Theater.

Re: Harmony, BeyondTV and USB-UIRT
Any comments on my XML? I'm still encountering the problem...
I've got Logitech's Remote software (7.6.0) and EventGhost installed and still getting double-presses in BeyondTV... I'd love to get this solved!

Re: Harmony, BeyondTV and USB-UIRT
If anyone has time/inclination to review my XML (above) to make sure I'm not making some bonehead mistake (not out of the question!), I'd appreciate it. If that doesn't reveal mistakes, I will add a different MCE remote...
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Harmony, BeyondTV and USB-UIRT
BTDT. Same situation.
Oh, and pressing the keys on the keyboard (not the remote) works as expected -- no double-keys.
In case it might help, I'm attaching my configuration XML for perusal/comment. It's my first attempt (and is incomplete right now), so I welcome any suggestions.

Re: Harmony, BeyondTV and USB-UIRT
I am at my USB-UIRT/EG install right now. It DOES appear that the key-codes are being sent twice, so I attempted to enable the Configuation item "Pass short repeat codes as enduring events" for USB-UIRT (it had been UNCHECKED), per Brett's suggestion. When I checked that item, the following appeared ...

Thanks for your assistance!
Will check it out this evening (once I get home) and report back. Is there anything else I can/should try?

Re: Harmony, BeyondTV and USB-UIRT
Thanks for your reply. It is happening with NO plugin... It's a custom context that I've done manually. Please see attached screenshots (don't worry that USB-UIRT plugin is throwing an error... I own it, but it is disconnected until I can get this resolved).

Re: Harmony, BeyondTV and USB-UIRT
Okay, so I've got my remote (Harmony 890 Advanced) mostly working with USBUIRT and EventGhost 0.3.7r1387 on Windows XP Pro SP3.
The only problem I am currently facing is that when I press a key on my remote that sends {Right} or {Left}, it double-sends. I am in exclusive mode, and there is only one ...

Re: Harmony, BeyondTV and USB-UIRT
You need to add an MCE device to the harmony using the harmony software. Basically what you do to add a new DVD or stereo, just pick an MCE computer instead. It should then be able to transmit the MCE IR signals.
