Re: Remote Wonder II driver causes OpenGL errors

Never found a workaround for this, but the black screen errors I was getting in VLC went away in version 1.10, so I was able to switch it off of OpenGL (a suggested fix I found that worked). Since my nettop plays games horribly anyway, this pretty much makes the OpenGL cursor rendering error moot.

Re: VLC media player

When I upgraded to VLC 1.10 I had to set things to work with Eventghost again and I noticed it won't save the telnet port number preference. I was able to get around it by modifying Eventghost to use VLC's (apparently immutable) default, 4212, but was curious if anyone else was encountering this ...

Remote Wonder II driver causes OpenGL errors

I've noticed that there are errors around my mouse cursor in some OpenGL windows (games and VLC, if set to use OpenGL). Found a few places ( here's one of the discussions ) where the Remtoe Wonder II background program (ATIRW.exe) was blamed, and killing it does fix the error. Anybody know of a way ...

Any neat remote configurations out there?

Having resolved all my technical setup issues, I'm starting to figure out just how I want to arrange my configuration tree and was wondering if any other users had any neat uses or mappings they'd come up with. Why reinvent the wheel? Thanks for any tips.

Re: ATI Remote Wonder II

To add another data point, I just successfully got EG to sense my new ATI Remote Wonder II events under Windows XP Professional, service pack 3. Great instructions in this post solved all my troubles (order of installation apparently matters). I had some conflicts installing the latest ATI driver ...

Re: What remote do you recommend?

The ATI Wonder Remote II looks promising. I like that it's RF and it's $21 shipped on Ebay.

Re: Supported hardware list?

I didn't even think to check out the documentation, just went straight for the forum and wiki. How embarrassing! Sorry about that.

Supported hardware list?

Just spent a while searching the wiki and forum for a supported remote list and came up empty, but perhaps I am using the wrong search terms. Is there one somewhere? Thanks a lot.

Re: What remote do you recommend?

I was looking at that cheap one as well, but some of the negative reviews have been putting me off. How are you finding it?

Will this remote work?

There's a user review specifically saying it won't work with EventGhost, but I wanted to make sure he wasn't mistaken. I am running a Windows XP (32 bit, SP3) system. Is there a list of compatible hardware somewhere that I've missed? Thanks very much.
