Needing admin is because the original plugin was written for XP, before UAC etc.. In Vista/Win7 you need admin privileges to even connect to the device. That's the advantage of my other plugin.

I'm finally at my wits end. I've come to the conclusion that its just not going to work for multiple reasons. For one thing, the only time EG will accept commands from the remote is if its in Admin mode. I tell it to start up as an admin in the properties of the .exe file and it doesn't start at ...

I'm really not sure what it could be. This is a fresh Windows 7 install. The only thing I really have on this system is Google Chrome. Are there any programs that are known to cause conflicts with EG?

Yes. Initially it did. But after I installed EventGhost and checked the box to "Disable HID for this device" after installing the MCE plugin it hasn't worked with MCE since then. But I think that was suppose to happen...correct?Livin wrote:does the remote work natively with MCE?
