DO NOT take my word for it yet. I'm wondering if you will need/want to use the Logitech Remote software at all (along with EG).
I have found in the past that Logitech software is bloated and maybe also isn't always needed. I did install the Harmony software when I had the 880 just to play around ...

I'll be soon setup my new HTPC and I will use XBMC with MPC-HC as external player (for mkv). PowerDVD will also be used as external player for BluRay discs. This HTPC will be piloted with a Logitech Harmony One remote.
